Each part of citronella has a lemon aroma, but only the lower part of the stem is tender and edible. The main parts used are leaves, flowers, stems, roots, seeds, and fruits. The outer layer of older leaves can be used to flavor or make vanilla tea. Citronella has the functions of disinfection and sterilization, as well as helping digestion, refreshing, hair juice relieving heat stroke, warming the stomach and regulating heat.
