Mace is originally produced in the Moluga Islands of Indonesia. Currently, the main producing areas of cardamom are Indonesia, Brazil, Sri Lanka, and the West Indies. The original cardamom is imported from Cambodia and Thailand. Indonesian cardamom is imported from Indonesia. Both species are sold and cultivated throughout the country and in the current southern Yunnan province of Hainan Province.
Cardamom kernels can be added to pudding, meat products, custard custard, and ice cream, or used to flavor spicy beverages such as hot wine. They can also be used in simmering fruits, spicy cakes, and cookies, often used in Dutch beans.
